BLUEY'S Oost has been a family spot from day one. The whole place is set up so everyone, small humans included, feels welcome the moment they walk in.
Here's what to expect when you bring the little ones to our Zeeburgereiland café.
The unofficial first coffee of childhood. A small cup of foamed milk, sometimes with a little cocoa dusting, just like the grown-ups have. Ask at the counter and we'll sort one for your tiny barista-in-training.
We've got a kids' lounge with toys for parents with little ones — a relaxed spot to play while you get a proper breather. For the bigger kids, there are games to keep them busy. Everyone sorted.
The practical stuff that makes or breaks a morning out with little ones: high chairs ready when you need them, and a changing table so you're not improvising on a café bench. Bring the pram, there's room for it.
One of the best things about our spot: directly across the road there's the biggest skatepark in the Netherlands and a playground. Loads of parents grab a takeaway coffee from us and head over with the kids — coffee in hand, little ones burning energy. Best of both worlds.
Simple, good food the little ones will actually eat: a fried egg, a pancake, a cheese toastie. There's a colouring page to keep hands busy while the food's on its way, and kids-size drinks too — a little juice, a little lemonade, scaled right for small hands.
Yes, dogs are welcome. So are babies, toddlers, school-agers, teens pretending to look bored, and grandparents along for the ride. BLUEY'S Oost is built for the whole crew.
Kid-Friendly Café
We love having families in. We're a working café with regulars and a brunch buzz, so there's hot coffee on the move and a lot going on — we just ask that you keep an eye on the little ones so everyone has a relaxed time. There's a quieter corner if a baby needs a moment, and a team that's always glad to see kids in the room.
Kids Birthday Party in Amsterdam
Small humans deserve a proper party spot. Tucked inside BLUEY'S Oost, our Glass House is built for exactly this kind of celebration: a private room with its own entrance, space for the whole little crew (and the grown-ups), and a kitchen ready to handle the cake, the snacks, and the babychinos. Bring decorations, balloons, the lot — make it yours for the day.
BLUEY'S & The Kids
I was very impressed. Definitely geared towards families with kids but the quality of the food amd coffee was incredible. We had the Eggs Bluey and Go for It and really loved it. Some of the best breakfast/brunch I've had in NL in the 7 years that I've lived here. There is also a big playground and skatepark outside for bigger kids

Yum!!
As an Aussie, I was so impressed to find a cafe in Amsterdam serving incredible coffee and brunch that’s right up there with the best cafe’s back at home.
The service was super friendly and welcoming and every dish we ordered was beautifully presented and full of flavour.
There were quite a few of us in our group, so we were able to order almost one of everything and I honestly can’t fault a thing.
The highlight for us was the Cilbir and the ‘Go for it’ (if you like a bit of spice you’ll love this - like I did!). The pancakes were to die for and the Eggs BLUEYS reminds me of my fav Eggs Benedicts but on a crispy piece of polenta- yum.
They also had a great kids menu-my kids loved the pancakes!
The cafe is spacious, with a cozy and comfortable vibe.
It’s also right across the road from a big skatepark and playground, so thekidswent and had a play afterwards.
Highly recommend!!

Hi, I'm Italian and I was in Amsterdam to visit my sister and her family. On recommendation I went to Bluey's for a quick lunch and I was truly amazed. It's difficult to find a place of this kind in Parma where I live, really welcoming and versatile, very friendly even for families with children. I ate a go for it and found it spacey, you could feel that the nduja was of quality, really tasty. Then I ate a truly incredible pistachio and raspberry cake. I can't wait to go back!!!
