Help Bluey's Reopen
On the night of Friday the 14th of October/ morning of Saturday 15th of October our worst nightmare became a reality.
Our business that we've spent the past two years of our lives building went up in flames.
According to reports at around 1.15am in the morning a fire broke out in our beloved Bluey's cafe. The fire brigade quickly scaled this up to a major fire. Thanks to their tireless efforts they managed to extinguish all the flames by around 3.20am. However by that stage most of the damage had been done. Thankfully nobody was harmed as a result of the fire and we sympathise with our local neighbours after such a night full of fright.
Upon inspection the following morning our deepest fears were realised. What was once a beautifully colourful, vibrant neighbourhood cafe was no more. Instead stood a place covered black with soot from ceiling to floor and reeking of smoke.
2 years of hard work, gone in two hours.
Heartbreak.

The initial support and love that we have received from our community, friends and family has been heartwarming. It has lifted us up and given us the boost of energy needed to begin the long and arduous task of rebuilding.
With such a strong bond and connection to our neighbourhood and all those who have visited us we are left with no other option than to put on our boots and gear up for the difficult task ahead. Bringing the colour back to Bluey's.

How You Can Help
As we begin the tireless task of trying to rebuild, we ask you, our beloved community of neighbours, friends and family for your support and help. The road to reopening will be long, difficult and with unforeseen obstacles. We won't be able to do it alone.
Therefore we ask those who are fortunate enough, to make a donation via the GoFundMe link. Every contribution, big or small, will take us forward leaps and bounds to be able to once again share special moments and a delicious cup of coffee together.

The rebuilding process will also require plenty of people power. From graphic design to painting to offering morale support and everything in between, together we can achieve anything. With this we ask people to donate their skills and time. Be it an hour or a day every little bit will help. You can subscribe to our 'Bluey's task force' here:

We also understand that time and money are things of great value to us all and are often in the best of times hard to come by. If you are unable to donate money or time and still wish to help us, you can do so by sharing. Spreading the message on socials, commenting and liking our posts and following us on instagram and facebook, will assist us in reaching out to as many people as possible as we endeavour to shine bright once again.
